Gear Zap

I happen to stumble over this wonderful site GearZap, an UK based portal, and found it to be an ideal online store for notebook and laptop accessories. Name it and they seem to be housing just about every popular brands on the planet. Acer, Samsung, Asus, MSI, LG, Dell, Advent, HP, Apple, Lenovo, Sony, Toshiba, Compaq, Belkin, Case Logic, Trust, Pdair, Tech Air, be.ez, Crumpler, Pakuma, Targaus, Gelaskins, Cool Bananas, Zero Shock, Invisible Shield, Murgen Batteries, Port Design and many more; Gearzap has all in store for you expanding variety and helping you make the right choice. And not to forget at cool prices.

Surfing their site the only thing I missed out from a real time shopping expereince was that of me not being present in a real shop. Rest, the website is so well built; it is user-friendly and that you can virtually do everything you would be doing while shopping in a real store. To begin with, as a shopper, you can register with them, where you will be provided a login id or a registered customer id. Once registered you can have a wonderful time shopping for your required item. Extended services like Return and Replacement hints to the fact that Customer satisfaction seem to be their first priority. They offer various mode of payments such as Card Payment, Cheque or Postal Order, Direct Bank Deposit and Bank Transfer. They also have various modes of delivery which can be found on their site under the Customer Service Menu at the bottom of the website.

Currently Gearzap seem to be providing their services to European Customers only. For more information on latest products please visit their website at http://www.gearzap.com. To be informed on development on latest technology please visit their blog at http://www.gearzap.com/blog/.

Don't forget to check out these cool items in their store:

I can't find my blog on the Web, where is it?

N.B: The solution below are from Google Help. For more related solutions please visit: http://help.blogger.com/

I can't find my blog on the Web, where is it?

If you can't find your blog online and you're certain you (or one or your team members if you have a team blog) didn't delete your blog, then the first thing to do is make sure you've typed in the correct URL. If your blog is published with a custom domain or if you have an FTP blog, make sure you've correctly entered your settings in order for your blog to appear online.

The final thing to do is review Blogger's policies to see if you may have violated our Terms of Service. If you've typed in the correct URL, haven't deleted your blog yourself, and your FTP or custom domain settings are correct, then please contact us for further assistance.

Make Your Blog Load Faster:: Enhance Loading Time of Your Blog

Here are a few tips provided by blogger itself for enhancing and speeding the loading time of your blog.

The speed at which your blog loads is critical to attracting more readers to your blog. If your blog takes a long time to load, many readers may leave your blog before they have the chance to read it. Here are a few tips and tricks that will help your blog load faster and attract more users:

Posts

Your blog's load time can be affected by the number of posts you display on your main page. You can easily edit the number of posts displayed of the main page from the Settings | Formatting tab. You can then select the number of posts you want to display on the main page. We recommend displaying 10 or fewer posts on the main page.

Third Party JavaScript and Links

For optimal blog load speed, we recommend using Google/Blogger widgets, JavaScipt and links. However, if you need to use third party JavaScipt and links, your blog will load much faster if you put all JavaScript at the bottom of your blog. If you have third party JavaScript and links in your sidebar, put them in at the bottom of the sidebar.

Images and Media

The more images, videos and other multi-media you have on your blog the longer it will take to load. However, images and other multimedia are important to attracting users to your blog, so it is important to optimize the load speed of your images and media. Here are a few tips to increase the load speed of your media:

  • Decrease the size of your images or use thumbnails that link to the full-size image.
  • If you use third party images, consider uploading them to Picasa Web Albums via the Blogger post editor.
  • If you have a large number of images to display, you can upload all your images (from a vacation or event) to a Picasa Web Album and link to the album in your post or sidebar.

Other suggestions

  • If you've added any custom CSS to your blog, make sure you put it at the top of the page.
  • The most important content of your blog that catches readers attention should load the quickest. To help you identify which items are taking the longest to load you can use Stopwatch. To use Stopwatch, enter your blog's URL into the text box and click "Start StopWatch". Stopwatch will then open your blog in a frame and will record the time it takes for everything on your blog to load, including images, videos, widgets, etc. Take note of the items that take the longest to load and modify them appropriately using our suggestions.
